El Gaucho

El Gaucho started in Seattle, and eventually made its way down the Pacific Northwest to Portland.  El Gaucho Portland first opened on March 17, 2000 and it has become a staple in Portland ever since.  It hosts all sorts of events during the year from prom dinners and engagements to IPO parties and silver anniversaries.  The open charcoal grill serves as the focal point of the restaurant, creating an ambiance of energy and commotion for everyone to enjoy.  Chefs put on a floor show each night for dinner, as people can watch their delicious steaks, fish and more being prepared to perfection.

Customers will enjoy live Latin guitars playing softly in the distance in the adjacent open bar while they enjoy their dinner.  Each customer is treated as if he’s the only one in the restaurant, and the food matches the perfect ambiance and care for details.
