RedTail Golf Course

RedTail Golf Course, aptly renamed in 1999 in honor of the red-tailed hawks that nest in the nearby trees, is a great public golf course in Portland.  They offer both private and group lessons for men and women of all ages and talent levels.  They have a unique instructional program called G.O.L.F. (Goal Oriented Learning Format) which helps the teaching staff to understand the individual objectives of each player and create a learning program that is tailored to each person’s goals.  In addition, they have a Golf Academy, a Junior Academy and Corporate/Group Clinics.

The property where the RedTail Golf Course sits was opened for play in 1968 and it was originally called Progress Downs. In 1999, the course was redesigned by John Zoller into a 7,100 yard championship 18-hole course that now includes a covered, lighted driving range.
